The Military Council forces bombed two villages in Mindat Township, Chin State, on the night of October 8, killing three children and a disabled woman and injuring more than 10 others, the Chin Defense Force (CDF-Mindat) said. At around 7 p.m. last night, the Military Council forces carried out airstrikes on Won Tuh village and Tin Chaung villages in Mindat Township. It also reported that six houses were damaged in the attack.
The CDF- Mindat statement showed the destruction of residential buildings and the destruction of classrooms where children were studying. Salai Yawman, an official from the Mindat Township People’s Administration, said the airstrikes were carried out on a residential area where displaced people live and where they are taught.
The Military Council forces also carried out airstrikes on Mindat Township on October 4, damaging hotel buildings and causing some civilian casualties. The Military Council, including the township occupied by the CDF- Mindat and its allies, is conducting airstrikes on towns and villages they have lost, most of which are targeting civilian areas.
