A local source said that there has been intense fighting for three days near the villages of Natchaung and Mualpi village, which are located along the main road between Tedim Township (Kalay-Tedim-Hakha).

“The fighting is taking place along the Chin-Kalay road. The fighting is intense. There are about (6) soldiers from the military side. Two comrades from Kalay were killed in the southern battle.” During the three-day battle, six soldiers from the military were killed, two from the Kalay region and one from the Chin resistance. In addition, when the military entered the front line, the military burned down houses in the villages of Thauh Kyant, Kya Inn, Nat Myaung, Natchaung Kye, Chaung Kwa, and Kyun Taw in the southern part of Kalay Township (Kalay-Gangaw road), and also burned down the refugee camps along the road, according to a person helping the displaced people in Thauh Kyant village.

We all have to run away.” In Kalay Township, due to the military’s offensive in the north of Kalay Township in August and October, more than 30,000 residents from more than 50 villages along the Kalay-Tamu road, including Khampat, Bokkan, Kanan, Kyuntaw yeshin, Phet ya yeshin, Sawbwa, Wit tok, Zanglen phai, Yanmyo Aung, and Nan Hmun tha villages in Tamu Township, and Yazacho, Mya Sein, Myalin, Letpan Chaung, Pyidaw Thar, Pyin Khon Gyi, Pyin Taw Oo, Mauk Lin, Nan Saung puh, Kangyi, Kantharyar, 56 Mile, and Yanmyo Aung, have been displaced in the forest and mountains for more than two months, said a person who provides assistance to displaced people in Yanmyo Aung Village.

Similarly, on October 19, eight men from Khon Thar village, and on October 20, 10 men from Yazayo village and a member of the CDF-KKG were killed by the military council forces, resulting in a total of (21) deaths, according to local residents. In Kalay Township, the military council forces and the resistance forces fought for more than two months in August and October on the Kalay-Tamu Road, Kalay-Gangaw Road, and Kalay-Tedim Road in Chin State. And the Military council source said that over forty people were killed and over twenty (20) revolutionary soldiers were killed.
