After the Chin Revolutionary forces and the Military Council in Chin State regained control of Kennedy Hill and Weibula town in Falam township, where fierce fighting has been going on about two weeks, the Military council soldier are deploying two military columns and advancing towards Falam township, according to local military sources.
The Military council forces have been advancing along the main entrance roads of Chin State, namely the Kalay – Tedim-Falam road, the Kalay-Natchaung road, the Waibula town in Falam township, and the Tedim-Kalay – Falam road, with a total of 700 troops, from October 27 to November 10, 2025.
The advancing Military council and the Chin Revolutionaries forces clashed along the Kalay – Tedim road and the Kalay – Falam road, with the Military council forces retaking Weibula town from Kennedy Hill and advancing towards Falam town, a military source said.
“The Military council soldiers advancing from the Kalay – Weibula road reached the Var Bridge last night. They advanced here at night. The fighting took place on this road,” reporter said. Kennedy Hill is located between Kalay Township in Sagaing Region and Tedim Township in Chin State, and is over 8,000 feet high. The mountain was captured by PDF-Zoland in November 2023.
The Military council soldiers suffered heavy casualties during the fighting, and the remaining military forces are advancing towards Falam town and have reached the Var Bridge below the town. Similarly, on November 9, near Taingen village, Chin rebels laid a mine and attacked a military column, killing seven soldiers and injuring more than 20. A spokesman for CDM-Siyin said that after taking control of Kennedy Hill, they were advancing towards Falam.
“The group from Tedim has set up a position heading towards Falam. They have taken control of Taingen and are heading towards Falam. The military council column from Kalay also reached Taingen yesterday evening. The mine was located in three places. They were too strong and had to be separated.” In Chin State, the Chin rebels have been fighting the military council column for more than two weeks along the Kalay-Tedim road and the Kalay-Weibu road, resulting in more than 50 deaths and 30 injuries for the military council.
Therefore, the military council forces from the Kalay base camp have been reinforcing the military forces with airstrikes on Tedim and advancing towards Falam, while the resistance forces have also suffered casualties, a military source said. “In the Tetin battle, two PDF Zoland soldiers were killed and some were injured.”
In Chin State, including Falam, Mindat, Kanpetlet, Matupi, Tonzang, Cikha, Rih Khawdar, Lailenpi, Kyindwe, Ma Kyi Ein Nu, Naring, Rezua, and Surkhua towns are under the control of the Chin revolutionary forces, while Paletwa and Sami are under the control of the Arakan Army (AA). Currently, the military council controls five towns, including Hakha, Thantlang, Tedim, and Khaikam, as well as the resistance forces’ captured Weibula.
