A drone attack on Laung Lone police station and the Military Council army headquarters in Tanintharyi Region for 3 days killed, including 1 deputy police officer, an official from the Laung Lone Steel Butterfly Force said. On January 21, 22 and 23, the rebels dropped 8 bombs on the Laung Lone police station, and on January 23, the rebels dropped 2 more bombs on the Military Council army headquarters in Laung Lone.
In the attack, 6 people, including a deputy police officer, were killed and many others were injured. It is reported that the seriously injured soldiers were urgently transported to Dawei in 2 vehicles overnight.
