The Chin Revolutionary Joint Force attacked the terrorist army that had advanced to retake Falam town, Chin State, killing more than 36 people, including a major, and injuring more than 20 others. The Military Council troops that advanced in three columns from the Taingen side were attacked this morning near Khuangli village and Zawnglei village.

“In the fighting yesterday, 36 people, including a major, were killed and 20 people were injured. The fighting was a joint operation between the Chin Brotherhood (CB), the Chin National Front (CNA/CNF), and four revolutionary comrades were killed and seven were injured,” a revolutionary force source said.

“The fighting is a daily occurrence. It is not certain that it will happen today. All the military lines coming from this side have been blocked, so the other side cannot advance, and this side has been blocked, so there is a possibility of a clash at any time,” said Salai Nai John Kim, spokesman for the Chinland Council, Ministry of Defense.

About 30 heavy weapons, small arms and large amounts of ammunition were seized in the fighting, and a Military Commission camp was also seized. The Military Commission said it used drones and artillery fire more than air support during the battle.

The Chin Revolutionary Joint Forces were resisting the two Military Commission lines, and the Military commission was unable to advance further near the villages of Khuangli and Sumhrang villages in Falam Township, so on January 20, about 300 additional troops were sent from Kalay town to reinforce the military. In addition, the Military Council troops dropped food supplies twice in an E20 aircraft near Khuangli village.

In addition to Falam, the Chin revolutionary forces have captured and controlled the towns of Mindat, Kanpetlet, Matupi, Tonzang, Cikha, Rih Khawdar, Lailenpi, Kyin dwe, Makuam Nu, Naring, Rihzua, and Surkhwar in Chin State, while the Arakan Army (AA) has captured and controlled the towns of Paletwa and Sami. The military junta has captured and controlled Hakha, Thantlang, The military regime has maintained control of Tedim and Khaikam town, and has regained control of Weibula, which was captured by the Chin Revolutionary forces in recent months.
