A local young man said that an airplane bomb exploded in a house near a church in Ward (4) of Kut Khaing town, and a total of 13 students and a teachers were injured in the church compound.

“The house near the Chinese temple was completely destroyed. The mother’s child who is sleeping at home, A grandfather died. There is a Chinese school in the same courtyard behind the church. There is a Chinese teacher and children in that school. More than ten people were injured,” he said.

Those who died were a mother with a one-and-a-half-year-old child. A 60-year-old man, most of the injured were women. Among those who were injured, there are seven critical patients, and there are also those who have had their legs and arms amputated, a resident health worker said.

“One of the important patients in the hospital, a little girl, had to go to the operating room and broke her leg and arm,” he said. It is reported that the Military Council dropped a bomb with a jet plane, and due to the speed of the explosion, the glass of the Kachin Baptist Church and houses in Ward (2) were broken. About ten houses were damaged by the airstrikes, and local residents living near the Chinese temple have fled, a resident said.
