The revolutionary joint forces of the revolution began attacking the Kantpani Military Council camp on the Kalay-Gangaw road, more than 30 miles from Kalay town, on February 11 and captured it on the evening of February 13, and more than 20 Military Council soldiers were captured as prisoners of war, according to some joint force sources.

The revolutionary joint source also said that many weapons were seized from the Military council soldiers during the battle. After the camp was captured, 40 to 50 weapons of various kinds were also seized in the news photo archive. However, the situation of casualties on both sides in the battle is not yet known. “The rest of the Military Council troops fled. Most of them fled towards the village of Mantaw,” he added.

The Kantpani Camp is located on the road connecting Kalay-Gangaw-Chin State and is one of the two main Military council camps between Kalay and Gangaw. The Military council used several airstrikes to prevent the camp from falling, but they failed. Locals said that the military has been reinforcing the military camps around the camp since the fall of the Kantpani Camp.
