Karenni (Kayah) State during the battle in Phasong Township, at least 10 members of the military council were killed and weapons and ammunition were seized, a Phasong PDF official told to the Media.
On August 5th, a fierce battle took place near Kyauksuh village between Phasong and Mae Se townships.
“According to the weapons and ammunition that we were able to capture, we had to flee for our lives. We also shot at them from the air six times in one day,” explained the Phasong PDF official. The military council troops that attacked through Phasong to the side of Mae Se were the Khah Mah Zah (508) and (512) troops under the (55) division. During the fighting on August 5th, two soldiers from the Karenni People’s Liberation Front (KPLF) were killed.
