On July 5, a 15-year-old girl was raped by two soldiers of the Military Council in Mualpi village, Tedim Township, Chin State, according to local residents. Locals said that the soldiers of the Military Council came from Kalay town to the south of Chin in a convoy of three cars at around 6:00 a.m. on July 5th, leaving the cars before reaching Mualpi village, and then started on foot.
At around 11 o’clock in the afternoon, the soldiers of the Military council arrived in the village and while they were searching the houses, they found a local girl and raped her. A person close to the family said that the Mualpi villagers fled when the army entered, but the girl who returned home to cook was raped by two soldiers of the Military council.

The military council soldier threatened to kill her with a knife, and then the two raped her.”
The girl who was raped was told by the officer in that column to accept financial compensation and if she did not accept it, she would marry the perpetrators, so she had to accept the compensation and escape safely. In addition, on July 5, a 14-year-old girl from Mualpi village was also tried to be raped by the soldiers of the Military council, according to a local who knows the situation.
