CNA revolutionary army source said that 10 soldiers were killed, 2 prisoners of war were captured and weapons and ammunition were seized in an ambush on a rebel army advancing towards Falam town, Chin State. On January 3, a Chin resistance coalition including the CNA intercepted a rebel army advancing towards Falam town from the Kalay erea in Khuangli village. During the ambush, 10 rebel soldiers were killed, 2 were captured and weapons and ammunition were seized.
“On January 3, a Chin National Front (CNA)-led group and about 500 soldiers from Kale clashed in Khuangli village before reaching Falam town. The Chinland coalition captured weapons during the ambush. Two prisoners of war were captured,” a CNA military source said.
Similarly, on December 29, at 5:10 PM, Chin Revolutionary Forces intercepted an army column advancing towards Falam, Chin State, near Khuangli village, killing 3 soldiers and capturing 4 prisoners of war.
The army captured 4 prisoners of war along with 10 weapons: 1 MA-1, 3 MA-4, 2 MA-2, 1 60 mm mortar, 1 RPG, 1000 rounds of ammunition, and more than 40 boxes of ammunition, along with other military equipment. The army column also retreated from the hilltop camp near Khuangli village.
