With only a few days left before the elections in the United States, presidential candidates Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are campaigning hard. As Republican presidential candidate Trump held a campaign rally in Pennsylvania, one of the 7 states that will be hotly contested. Harris, the Democratic candidate, made a speech yesterday evening in Washington, DC, not far from the White House.
In Vice President Harris’s speech, he listed the things he would do as president and promised to work to improve social life, while also criticizing Trump for focusing only on himself and preparing to start the new presidency with a list of enemies.
The same place where Vice President Harris gave his speech yesterday is the same place where he addressed Trump supporters in January 2021 when he lost the election to current President Joe Biden. Not long after former President Trump’s speech, a crowd of protesters stormed the Capitol despite confirming that President Biden had won the election.
In his speech, Vice President Harris also criticized Trump as the man who stood here nearly four years ago and sent an armed mob to sway the will of the people in a free and fair election. According to polls, former President Trump and Vice President Harris are not far behind each other in highly competitive states. According to polls from the University of Florida, about 49 million voters have already cast ballots ahead of Tuesday’s election.
