People’s Defense Army (Mandalay) (MDY-PDF), Singu Township 5 Military Council camps were captured in the district and 15 were captured, including the Deputy Commander of the Military Council Army, Lt. Col. Hlaing Tun Aung.

Mandalay PDF announced today (July 8) that Shwepyi Police Station, Letpanhla Police Station, Kyidauk Pauk Army Camp, Kantaung Army Camp, and Pin Hle gyi Army Camp in Singu Township have been captured again, including 6 Military Council Camps that were previously occupied.

During the Singu operations, the Military Council has informed that there are 15 people, including the Deputy Commander of Thabinyin Township, Lt. Col. Hlaing Tun Aung (OTC-19), who have been arrested and surrendered.

In addition, the Military Council also reported that a large number of other weapons and ammunition, including packages dropped by air, were also confiscated. It is reported that the People’s Defense Force (Mandalay) is being supported by PDF Singu Township during the Singu operations.

On July 6, Mandalay PDF spokesman Ko Osmon said that 24 Military Council camps were occupied in Madaya Township in Mandalay (PDF) and there were more than 130 military recruits and prisoners of war.
