A Military council fighter jet that came to help bomb the police station in Kandaunt village, Pearl township, Sagaing Region, was shot down at around 12:15 pm on June 10, local sources said. The revolutionary forces have been attacking the Kant daunt village police station in Pale (Pearl) township since June 2, and this afternoon, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) announced that it shot down a Chinese-made FTC-2000g jet fighter of the Military council.
“There were three planes. A Y-12, two FTC-2000g (jet fighter), and a Y-12 that bombed Kant daunt village has returned. The plane that was shot down did not bomb Kant daunt village. It was bombing other villages. I made that up,” said a revolutionary comrade. The plane crashed and caught fire, and a nearby monastery and some houses were burned, and the pilot’s body was found among the wreckage, said a local revolutionary comrade on the ground.
“We found body parts. We found the pilot’s helmet and parts. It was the plane that came to bomb Kant Daunt village. It was not the plane that came to bomb Zee phyu Kone. It was flying very low due to the weather conditions.” Did the plane crash? A revolutionary comrade on the ground said it was not yet confirmed whether it was shot down.
The Military council, which suffered heavy casualties on the ground during the battle to capture the Kant daunt village police station, has been bombing not only Kant Daunt village but also the entire Pale area day and night since June 3, according to locals. Before the above-mentioned fighter jet crashed, it was reported that it had bombed 16 times with fighter jets on the morning of June 10 alone. Local sources say that the military regime has also been bombing the Pale area day and night since the current plane crash.
During the battle to capture the Kant Daunt village police station, the Military Council has been bombing the Pa Lai area day and night, and at least two locals, including an old man from Mindain village, were killed and more than 10 others were injured in the bomb hits, and the villages of Mindain, U Nauk, May Ni Kan, Nyaung Yin Kone, Thayar Kone, Thayet Kan, Htan Taw Taik, Thapy Kone, In Kyin Su, Man Kyem Su, More than 25,000 people have fled the war in over 20 villages in the Pale region, including Gaing Dwin, Supouk Kone, and Thayet.
The health of the displaced people is currently in serious need of food and medical assistance due to the ongoing rains. The Military council and the Pyu are still in operation in Pale township, Kandaung, En Ma Hti, Zee Phyu Kone, and Pale town.
The Military council has been consistently falsely reporting that fighter jets and military helicopters have crashed due to engine failure. On May 20, the KIA shot down two military helicopters carrying reinforcements to Bhamo town, Kachin State, with suicide drones. The Military council also falsely reported that the helicopters had crashed due to engine failure.
