Though there are some problems between the revolutionary groups in Tonzang Township, Chin State, it will work with understanding so that the people do not misunderstand the revolution, said U Alex, an official of the Tonzang Township People’s Administrative Committee (PAC). The CDF Tonzang was formed after the military coup and was renamed the Tonzang Township Council after the Chin State Council’s joint forces captured Tonzang township in May this year.

The council is under the responsibility of the Chin Regional Defense Force (CDF) in Tonzang Township, and is part of the Chin State Council’s provisional government. After the Chin State Council’s joint forces, which include the CDF Tonzang and the Chin National Army (CNA), captured Tonzang township in May, the CDF Tonzang announced that it had sealed off the homes of supporters of the Zomi Revolutionary Army (ZRA) who were cooperating with the military council. The CDF and CDM Committee announced that some of the houses that were sealed included those of those who had made CDM.

The CDF has informed that these statements are just allegations and are completely false, and has clarified that only the houses of those who supported the ZRA have been sealed. In addition, the CDF and CDM Committee have been declared fake. U Alex, an official of the CDF, said that although there are problems on the ground, there are situations where people have been afraid of misunderstanding and misunderstanding the revolution.

“On the ground, we are still trying to work with each other to have understanding. Before reaching a consensus between the revolutionary groups, it is our position to recognize each other and have understanding according to the existing level,” said the CDF official.

The CDF is the Chin State Defense Force responsible for the Tonzang Township Council. The Tonzang Township Council is a de facto government accountable to the Chin State Council, and the CDF Tonzang unit is under the command and administration of the Tongzang Township Council.
