In Tedim town, Chin State, some residents have begin moving their belongings out of fear of fighting. Since December 26, residents have been storing their belongings so that they can easily escape in case of fighting. Residents said that items that are difficult to move have been moving out of the town to safer villages since December 29. “You never know what will happen. We have to be prepared. We have to be prepared to avoid it as soon as it starts. I am worried when I hear that Tedim is coming after Falam,” said a resident.

Tedim town is an area where the Chin Brotherhood (CB) member of PDF Zoland group is active, and the Chin Brotherhood said that it will continue to fight for Tedim town as it is fighting for Falam. On May 26, a clash broke out between the Military council and PDF Zoland forces in Tedim town, and the PDF Zoland group was able to capture some Military council bases, including a police station.

“The first time there was no warning, we had to escape on our own. This time we will be prepared. Otherwise, the next time we will run out of supplies,” said another local resident. During the fighting in May 2024, more than 70 houses in Tedim town were destroyed by airstrikes and burned by the Military council, forcing the entire town to evacuate.
