Russia said on Saturday and Sunday that it had damaged three power plants in a missile strike on Ukraine. The plants were identified as DTEK power plants. DTEK supplies a quarter of Ukraine with electricity. Russia launched a missile strike on Sunday using 200 missiles and drones.

DTEK, the power company that was hit by the Russian attack, said it was not yet known how long it would take to repair the damage. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Sunday that Russia had attacked power plants, but did not give details.

A Ukrainian energy official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the Russian attack had damaged power plants. Power outages across Ukraine began on Monday. Russia is stockpiling missiles to attack Ukraine, Ukrainian officials say.
