Military leader General Min Aung Hlaing, who returned from attending the Eighth Great Mekong Sub-Region (GMS) meetings held in Kunming, Yunnan Province, China, on November 6-7, was welcomed by Burmese people of Chinese origin, including some artists, at Nay Pyi Taw Airport today.

The military leader’s return trip was welcomed by members of the military council led by the deputy military leader, Lieutenant Colonel Soe Win, military supporters, and some artists such as director Zin Yaw Maung Maung, Yan Aung, Soe Myat Thuza, May Than Nu, May Than Za Oo, Jean Ni, Yun Lay and Dein Dong.

During the military leader’s first trip after the coup, he met with the leaders of Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, and Vietnam, including China Prime Minister Li Qiang, as well as met with Chinese businessmen and invited them to invest in Myanmar.
