On June 18, 2024 the Chin Brotherhood, an alliance of 6 Chin Armed groups, announced that they were able to capture the Military Council Infantry Militant Battalion (304) in the town of Matupi, Southern Chin State, on June 17th, and that they were able to seize a howitzer as well as ammunition.
In the battle being carried out by Operation Chin Brotherhood, the Arakan Army (AA), Yaw Army (YA) and other allied joined forces and attacked the Military council camps and the station strategy in Matupi, Southern Chin State with all their might, and on June 17, 2024. They were able to completely capture the SAC Infantry (304) battalion. It has been reported that there were casualties on both sides during the fighting, and some comrades were injured on Chin Brotherhood Alliance’s side.
