Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that Israel will continue to wage war against Hamas until it is completely defeated, US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said. Prime Minister Netanyahu’s office announced that he discussed regional threats, including Lebanon’s Hezbollah and Yemen’s Houthis, with Jake Sullivan, who arrived in Israel. The release of hostages held by Hamas also includes issues of continuing to provide humanitarian assistance to civilians in Gaza, he said.

On December 14, Jake Sullivan said that operations in the Gaza Strip are likely to change. President Joe Biden has warned that the United States is bombing civilians in Gaza, even as it provides diplomatic protection for its longtime ally Israel. As the consequences of the war escalated, Netanyahu rejected calls for a cease-fire. Israel also said it was grateful to the United States for blocking UN efforts to end the fighting.
