Representatives of the Kachin, Kayah and Chin ethnic groups and the United States Department of State, USAID met in the State Department office in Washington DC on November 1 to discuss Myanmar issues.
M Tu Aung, Chin Community of USA, Inc. on behalf of the Kachin organization from the ethnic leaders to the meeting. D.C Area, Zomi Federal Union / PDF – Zoland Pu Dong Khan Khup on behalf of ZFU organizations, and Nic Shar, a representative from Kayah organization, attended the meeting. They discussed the current situation in Myanmar and the issue of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) to provide humanitarian aid.
