Locals said that the army, which suffered a lot of casualties during the battle, bombed the village of Kuin Gyi and Zee Gone village near the scene of the battle twice from the air, killing a child and a woman who were breaking bamboo for food in the forest, local residents said. After that, the military army raided and looted Kyauk Maw village near the scene of the battle, and captured four men from the village, local residents said.
Regarding the battle of Htee Chai, the Public Defense Force of Htee Chai township said, “Terrorist military council troops were badly defeated on the ground today, August 20th, at 3:20 p.m., once At 3:40 p.m., Russian-made Sukhoi Su-30 jet fighter fired twice at 3:40 p.m. near the area where some of our defense forces were active around Kuin gyi Village and Zigon Village.
At the time of the fighting, the local people in villages such as Htee Chai township, Zigone, Phoek Gone, Kuin gyi, Sat Tee Chaung, and other villages had to flee to safety because the army was rampant to terrorize the local people.
