Lieutenant General Nyo Saw, who was reported to be under investigation, reappeared with military leader Min Aung Hlaing after disappearing from public view for over a month. On May 11, military leader Senior General Min Aung Hlaing went to meet the families of members of the Military Council of the Triangle Regional Military Headquarters based in Kyaingtong, Shan State (Eastern) under his command.

It was reported that Lt. Gen. Nyo Saw, a member of the military council and advisor to the military leader, was being detained and interrogated along with Lt. Gen. (former) Aung Soe, who had joined the party in connection with the case of U Myint Hlaing, the former Minister of Agriculture/Dams.

After such news came out, Lt. Gen. Nyo Saw was unable to attend the military council meetings held in April, nor was he seen at the ceremonies attended by the members of the military council, and like the deputy military leader Soe Win, he was missing from the public eye for a long time. Lt. Gen. Nyo Saw, a graduate of the Military Academy No. 23, was appointed as his advisor by the military leader in July 2023 from the position of chairman of the Myanmar Economic Corporation (MEC).

After that, in September 2023, Lieutenant General Moe Myint Tun, a former member of the Military Council, was sentenced to life in prison for bribery, and Lieutenant General Nyo Saw was re-appointed as a member of the Military Council.
