The CDF-Matupi Fundraising Committee, which collects funds for the Matupi armed forces, has urged the leaders of the local armed forces, CDF-Matupi Brigade (1) and Brigade (2), to meet at a round table as soon as possible to discuss and peacefully resolve the ongoing military conflict in Matupi Township, southern Chin State.

In addition to the CDF-Matupi Brigade (1) and Brigade (2) regarding the battle to capture Matupi. The CDF-Matupi Fundraising Committee issued a statement on June 23 saying that it is particularly disturbing to see that the conflicts between the factions related to them have escalated to the level of bloody conflict.

The statement of the CDF-Matupi Fundraising Committee strongly urges the leaders of the CDF-Matupi Brigade (1) and CDF-Matupi Brigade (2) to meet at the table (as soon as possible) to discuss and peacefully resolve the current conflict with the unity of the entire Matu nation.

In addition, the CDF-Matupi Fundraising Committee appeals to the local and foreign Matu people to maintain the unity of the entire Matu nation and refrain from writing and speaking that will lead to the spread of racial hatred.

The CDF-Matupi Fundraising Committee was formed on August 26, 2022, with the aim of gathering funds from various international youth groups to support CDF-Matupi, who are fighting on the front lines of the Spring Revolution. It is known that the funds received during the two (2) year period from the time of its establishment, with the unity of the entire Matu nation in mind, have been directly supported to the CDF-Matupi center for all battalions.

CDF-Muppi has Brigade (1) and (2), Brigade (1) is a member of the Chin Brotherhood and Brigade (2) is a member of the Chinland Council. On June 9th, Chin Brotherhood and the allied forces began to attack the Matupi town operation, and on June 17th, they were able to completely capture the 304th Khah Mah Yah- Battalion.

Then, after a dispute broke out between the Chinland Council forces and the Chin Brotherhood forces for the purpose of seizing the rest of the Military Council of Matupi, Strategic Hill and 140 Militia Infantry, the Chin armed forces exchanged fire with each other from the morning of June 18 until both sides suffered casualties.

Due to the fighting between the Chinland Council forces and the Chin Brotherhood Alliance forces, they have not been able to capture the Military council’s strategic hill and the 140th battalion of Militia Infantry, which are still in Matupi town.
