Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that he will increase cooperation with North Korea for world peace and stability. Dmitry Peskov, spokesman for the Russian President’s office, said Putin made the remarks during a private meeting with North Korean Foreign Minister Dom Sang-hui, who is in Moscow on the last January 16.

Peskov also said that through Minister Dom Sang-hui, he gave New Year’s greetings and a gift to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. Peskov said Dom Sang-hui also conveyed Kim Jong-un’s warm greetings to Putin. In his greetings, Kim Jong-un said that he will try to reach the pinnacle of North Korea-Russia strategic friendship and relations in accordance with the strong wishes of the people of the two countries.

Dmitry Peskov, spokesman for the Russian President’s Office, said that Vladimir Putin expressed his greetings to speed up cooperation as the strategic relationship and friendship between the two countries can guarantee peace and stability not only in the region but also globally.
