Resistance forces (PDF-Zoland) in Tedim Township, Chin State, rescued 16 locals who were held hostage as Military convoys entered into Tedim Township on November 6, local sources said. The detainees, who are residents of Suangpi Village in Tedim Township, were arrested along the Tedim -Taingen- Kalay road when the Military convoy entered the Tedim -Taingen and Kalay road on November 3, 2025.
A Chin revolutionary source said that the Zomi resistance force PDF-Zoland was able to rescue the hostages after intercepting the military convoy into Tedim. Taingen- Kalay road. “We were able to rescue them after fighting. That day, five of the military troops were killed in a mine explosion and 10 wounded.” When the guides were being rescued, there was a battle between the military council and the rebel forces of PDF-Zoland, and there were casualties on the Military council side.
Currently, the military forces are entering with a column of about 200 troops from Tedim town and a column of about 200 troops from Kalay town, making a total of two columns, and the fighting is fierce with the rebel forces along the Kalay-Tedim highway, according to the PDF Zoland sources.
In addition, the column entering Tedim from Kalay is crossing the Kennedy Mountain range in Kalay Township, Sagaing Region, near Akluai village, and is heading towards Taingen village. The Kennedy Mountain military council base was captured by the PDF-Zoland forces in November 2023, and was abandoned due to the military column and airstrikes.
In Chin State, the Chin Revolutionary Forces have captured and controlled the towns of Falam, Mindat, Kanpalet, Matupi, Tonzang, Cikha, Rih Khawdar, Lailenpi, Kyindwe, Makyi Ein Nu, Naring, Rezua, Weibula, and Surkhua, while Paletwa and Sami are under the control of the Arakan Army (AA). Currently, only four military coulcil (SAM) bases remain in Hakha, Thantlang, Khaikam, and Tedim, and the Chin Revolutionary Forces have announced that they will work together in Chin State of the military council rids as soon as possible.
