On October 31, joint forces led by the KNLA attacked military council columns in Lay Ke Kaw, Myawaddy Township, Karen State, killing several (SAM) soldiers and seizing a large quantity of ammunition. The terrorist army reportedly used superior manpower, high-tech drones, artillery, long-range missiles, and air strikes to force the election, and advanced into the villages of Rathe Gu, Min Let Pam, and Phlu in Myawaddy Township.
The 22nd Division’s advancing columns were repeatedly attacked on October 31, resulting in the deaths and injuries of many members of the military council, and the joint revolutionary forces reportedly seized a large amount of ammunition. The KNU/KNLA-led Black Panther Column (32), Cobra Column, Vinon Column, Justice Soldier Column, and the joint revolutionary forces attacked the 22nd Division’s columns.
The Black Panther Column has issued a statement urging the people not to participate in the brutal and inconclusive election and vowing to fight until the military dictatorship is eradicated.
