It was reported that a Zomi ethnic CDM policeman was found dead under an apartment in the Cheras Maluri neighborhood of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on November 6 at around 11:00 p.m. The deceased CDM policeman is Pa Damasus Vum Lam Tuang (23 years old), a native of Tedim town, Chin State.
Pa Damasus Vum Lam Tuang joined the police from a polling station worker on October 1, 2020, and became a CDM on October 27, 2021, according to his uncle. “He was a police CDM. He was assigned to the town of Pha-an in Karen State. After completing his CDM, he came to Malaysia on August 27, 2022. He died suddenly because of a conflict between his husband and wife,” he said.
Before Pa Damasus Vum Lam Tuang’s death, he had marital problems with his wife and divorced his wife a few days ago. Pa Damasus Vum Lam Tuang’s body will be buried in Malaysia with Christian tradition led by the church.
