At about 9:00 a.m. today, the 269th Infantry Regiment’s hill in Thantlang town was captured by the joint forces of the Chin State government for almost two weeks. It is reported that the military council in Thantlang town, where all the Chin people in the city have left, has firmly stationed itself in Khah Lah Yah – 269 camp, and has built small camps in 7 strategically important places in the city and deployed them.

“We have been able to plant our flag on their hill. Many weapons can be stored. There are many weapons, such as large weapons, small guns, and bullets. Now we hope to finish the rest soon,” said the CDF-Thantlang spokesperson.

It is reported that the military council has provided a large number of weapons and air support from Hakha city to prevent the 269th army from falling. It is reported that there are more than 100 military council soldiers from 2 battalions, including more than 40 police forces, at the Khah Lah Yah- 269 camp. There are some wounded soldiers from the Chin State Government Joint Force. According to recent reports, there may be many casualties and injuries from the military council.

Currently, 5 out of the 7 strategically important outposts in the city have been captured, and the remaining 2 are still being cleared and will be captured soon. “Now there are only 2 places left. After that is clear, we can say that not only the entire city of Thantlang, but the entire city of Thantlang has been cleared of the military council,” said Salai Hteet Ni.

Chin joint forces are currently clearing the area of ​​Khah Lah Yah – 269, and the details of the military council’s deaths and injuries are still unknown. Chinland Council government forces launched an offensive against the military council camps on Longkhar Hill and Auto Hill between Hakha-Thantlang on July 22 and managed to capture at least seven camps until July 28.

On the morning of August 4th, it was reported that the C-3 camp, a military council camp between Hakha-Thantlang, was captured by the Chinland government forces. About 15 forces, including the Chin resistance forces under the government of Chin State, are involved in these operations.
