Local peoples said that the Military council forces restricted access to the Kale-Gangaw road since last October 16, and after 10 days, the restriction was eased on the evening of October 26, 2023.
Since last October 16th, the Military Council forces have been closing the Kalay-Gangaw road after patrolling the southern and southwestern parts of Kalay Township, and it is now open for use, a resident of a village in southern Kalay Township said.
“Yesterday afternoon, I was able to go. But the inspections are quite strict, I can’t carry things yet, I just have to walk like this,” he said. Until now, there has been a tense situation between the local defense forces and the military council in the villages in the south and southwest of Kale Township.
