A Singapore Airlines flight from London, United Kingdom to Singapore encountered a severe change in atmospheric pressure, killing one passenger and injuring several passengers, Singapore Airlines reported.
The Singapore Airlines Boeing 777-300ER, carrying 211 passengers and 18 crew members, had to make an emergency landing at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport at 3:45 p.m. local time on May 21 after encountering a severe change in atmospheric pressure. Singapore Airlines said that 30 seriously injured passengers have been hospitalized, while the rest of the passengers are being examined and treated.
Thai officials also reported that Singapore Airlines passengers are undergoing medical examination at Thailand’s Suvarnabhumi Airport. Singapore Airlines officials said they are working with Thai authorities to help passengers on the plane.
