An official from the 4th Battalion of the People’s Defense Force of Tamu Township said that they attacked and occupied the Pyu Saw Htee camp under the terrorist military council in Manmaw Village, Tamu Township, Sagaing Region.
On November 6th at about 2:00 p.m., Tamu Township was deployed with a force of about 17 people. Soldiers from the 4th Battalion of the People’s Defense Army of Tamu District suddenly drove into the Pyu Saw camp in Manmaw Village and opened fire. All the Pyu Saw Htee soldiers in the camp fled. The Pyu Saw Htee camp is located on the Kale-Tamu road between Pantha village and Tamu town.
“There is no sitting back at the camp. We are sitting in that camp. We entered the camp and shot at it. There was nothing we could do. They ran away in disarray. We didn’t have time to do anything. I don’t know if there were any casualties, and there were no reinforcements,” an official from the 4th Battalion of the Tamu People’s Defense Force told Tongsan Media Group.
Today, on November 8th, the terrorist military council soldiers who fled during the battle to take over the city of Khampat in Tamu Township were being chased and cleared from behind, and skirmishes were also taking place.
