The military leader, General Min Aung Hlaing, removed the Chief of Defense (Navy) General Moe Aung and replaced him with the former Chief of Staff (Navy) Lieutenant General Zwai Win Myint. An internal source close to the generals said that General Moe Aung, who was removed as the Chief of the Army (Navy), has been moved as an advisor to the National Security Council.

Before this transfer and appointment, General Moe Aung was no longer used in the military leaders’ meetings during important trips, and only Lieutenant General Zwai Win Myint was given the place.
