In Manipur state of India, some Kuki-Zo (Kuki-Zo) people were killed due to ethnic conflict between the Kuki-Zo and Meitei (Kate) people in early May 3, 2023. The corpses of those killed are kept at JNIMS and RIMS Morgue in Imphal, and repeated attempts have been made to retrieve them.
On December 14th, Kuki-Zo, who was killed, was able to retrieve the club with the help of the central government forces, according to local news reports. It is reported that 41 corpses were transported to Lamka town and 19 corpses in Kangpokpi town by helicopter at 2:00 am on December 14, 2023.
On December 15, 19 people who arrived in Kangpokpi town held a memorial service and cremated the corpses. It is reported that the date of burial of the figure clubs arriving in Lamka city has not yet been specified.
