မဏိပူရပြည်နယ် ချူရာချန်ပူခရိုင်တွင် မျိုးနွယ်စု ကျောင်းသားအဖွဲ့တစ်ခုမှ ချီတက်ဆန္ဒပြပွဲ၌ အကြမ်းဖက်မှုများ စတင်ဖြစ်ပွားပြီး နှစ်လနီးပါးအကြာ ၂၀၂၃ ခုနှစ် ဧပြီလ ၂၄ ရက် (စနေနေ့) တွင် ဒေသခံပြည်သူများ စုပေါင်း၍ လူမျိုးရေးပဋိပက္ခတွင် သေဆုံးသွားသော ကူကီး-ဇိုမီ: မျိုးနွယ်စုများအား ဝမ်းနည်းခြင်းအထိမ်းအမှတ်အဖြစ် စုဝေးခဲ့ကြသည်။ မဏိပူရမြို့၊ လမ်ကာမြို့၌ အသံတိတ် လူထုစုဝေးဆန္ဒပြမှုနှင့် ရုပ်အလောင်းအား ချီတက်ဆန္ဒပြခဲ့ကြသည်။

ဆန္ဒပြပွဲ၏ အဓိက အင်္ဂါရပ်မှာ ယခုအချိန်အထိ သေဆုံးသူ ၁၀၀ ကျော်ကို ကိုယ်စားပြုရန်အတွက် စုဝေးဆန္ဒပြသူများ သယ်ဆောင်လာသည့် ခေါင်းတလား တစ်ရာဖြစ်သည်။ ထောင်နှင့်ချီသော ပါဝင်သူများသည် အနက်ရောင်အဝတ်အစားများဝတ်ဆင်ကာ ၃ ကီလိုမီတာအကွာရှိ Churachandpur ၏အသေးစားအတွင်းဝန်ရုံးအနီး Tuibong ရှိ ခရိုင်ဆေးရုံ၏ ရေခဲတိုက်မှ ငြိမ်းချမ်းရေးမြေသို့ တိတ်တဆိတ်ချီတက်ခဲ့ကြသည်။

Silent March သည် ခရိုင်ဆေးရုံမှ ငြိမ်းချမ်းရေးမြေပြင်၊ Tuibong သို့ စတင်ခဲ့ပြီး၊ ကူကီး-ဇိုမီ: မျိုးနွယ်စု အာဇာနည်များအတွက် ‘အောက်မေ့ဖွယ် နံရံ’ အတွက် ပြုလုပ်ထားသော တဲအိမ်တွင် ဝမ်းနည်းကြောင်း အစီအစဉ်ကို ကျင်းပသည်။ လမ်ကာမြို့မှ သင်းအုပ်ဆရာများအားလုံး ဦးဆောင်သော သက်ဆိုင်ရာ ၀တ်စုံများဖြင့် အရပ်ဘက်အဖွဲ့အစည်းများဖြစ်သည့် CORSAM၊ ITLF၊ ရွာသူကြီးများ၊ တွဲဖက်ကျောင်းသားများအဖွဲ့၊ ခရစ်ယာန် ချစ်ကြည်ရေးကောင်စီ၊ မျိုးနွယ်စုခေါင်းဆောင်များ၊ ပရဟိတအဖွဲ့များ၊ ပူးပေါင်းအမျိုးသမီးသမဂ္ဂနှင့် လူထုထောင်ပေါင်းများစွာ၊ အနက်ရောင်ဝတ်စုံဝတ်ထားသည်။

‘အောက်မေ့ဖွယ် တံတိုင်း’ နေရာတွင် ဝမ်းနည်းခြင်း အစီအစဉ်ကို ကျင်းပပြီး ကူကီး-ဇိုမီ မျိုးနွယ်စုများအတွက် သီးခြား အုပ်ချုပ်ရေး တောင်းဆိုသည့် ကြွေးကြော်သံများ ကြွေးကြော်ခဲ့သည်။ ပြည်ထဲရေးဝန်ကြီး၏ ခရီးစဉ်အပြီးတွင် မဏိပူရပြည်နယ် အထူးသဖြင့် လူမျိုးစုခါးပတ်အတွင်း အကြမ်းဖက်မှုများ ဆက်လက်ဖြစ်ပွားနေဆဲဖြစ်ပြီး မကြုံစဖူး အသေအပျောက်များ ဖြစ်ပေါ်စေကြောင်း ပူးတွဲကျောင်းသားများအဖွဲ့မှ ပြောကြားခဲ့သည်။

မျိုးနွယ်စု အာဇာနည်များ အနေဖြင့် Imphal ၏ ရုပ်အလောင်းများ တွင် တရားမျှတမှု မရရှိသေးဘဲ အသေခံ မြှုပ်နှံထားသည့် အမျိုးအမည် မသိရသေးသူများ နှင့် သေဆုံးသူများ၏ ဂုဏ်သိက္ခာရှိစွာ သင်္ဂြိုဟ်ခွင့်ကို ငြင်းပယ်ခံနေရဆဲ ဖြစ်သောကြောင့် မျိုးနွယ်စု အာဇာနည်များထံ တရားမျှတမှု ပေးအပ်ရန် လိုအပ်ကြောင်း၊ တရားမျှတမှု ဖော်ဆောင်ရာတွင် အစိုးရ၏ ထုံထိုင်းနေသော်လည်း တူညီစွာ မြှုပ်နှံရန် လိုအပ်ကြောင်း ပူးတွဲကျောင်းသားများအဖွဲ့မှ ထုတ်ပြန်ထားသည်။

Silent Public Rally Protest Coffin March in Lamka

Almost two months after violence first erupted at a rally called by a tribal student body in the Churachandpur district of Manipur, locals on April 24, 2023 (Saturday), came together to mourn and commemorate Kuki -Zomi tribals who have died in the ethnic conflict in Manipur, Lamka town silent Public rally protest and coffin march.

A key feature of the protest was a hundred coffins, carried by rallygoers to represent the more than 100 people killed so far. Thousands of participants silently marched from the District Hospital morgue to Peace Ground in Tuibong near Churachandpur’s mini secretariat, a distance of 3 kilometres, wearing black clothes.

The Silent March began from District Hospital to Peace Ground, Tuibong, wherein the Condolence programme was held at the hut made for the ‘Wall of Remembrance’ for the Kuki-Zomi tribal martyrs. Led by all the pastors in Lamka town with their respective pastoral robes and various civil society organizations such as CORSAM, ITLF, Village Chiefs, Joint Students Body, Christian Goodwill Council, Tribe leaders, Joint Philanthropic Organizations, Joint Women Union and thousands of the public, wearing black dresses.

At the site of the ‘Wall of Remembrance,’ a condolence program was held and slogans demanding Separate Administration for the Kuki-Zomi tribes shouted. The Joint Students’ Body said after the Home Minister’s visit, violence in Manipur especially in the tribal belt continues unabated despite the appeal to maintain peace, resulting in unprecedented casualties.

As the tribal martyrs, both identified and those still laying unclaimed and unidentified in Imphal morgues are yet to receive justice and are still denied the right of the dead to a dignified burial, it is imperative that justice is delivered to the tribal martyrs, and that honorable burial is necessitated for the same, in spite of the government’s lethargy in bringing about justice, stated the Joint Students’ Body.

The Joint Students’ Body comprised of the Kuki Students’ Organisation (KSO), Gangte Students’ Organisation (GSO), Hmar Students’ Association (HSA), Khangthah Zuun Pawl (KZP), Mate Students’ Organisation (MSO), Mizo Zillai Pawl (MZP), Siamsinpawlpi (SSPP), Tiddim-Chin Students Association (TCSA), Thangkhal Sinlai Pawlpi (TSP), ZILLAI, Zomi Students’ Federation (ZSF) and Zou Sangnaupang Pawlpi (ZSP).

In the alleged State-sponsored ethnic cleansing campaign perpetrated by radicalized Meitei armed groups such as Arambai Tenggol and Meitei Leepun, more than 100 innocent Kuki-Zomi tribals have lost their lives and about 46 civilians still missing or unidentified in Imphal areas. More than 200 villages, 355 Churches and Quarters have been burnt down by the Meiteis’ armed groups and about 50000 people internally displaced including displaced persons in neighbouring Mizoram state.
