The state-sponsored ethnic cleansing that ensued since 3rd May 2023 has claimed the life of 108 tribal. 201 tribal villages have been burned, along with 355 churches and quarters. 41,425 tribal have been displaced till date. On this account, the Silent March-cum-Condolence Program today of June 24, 2023 is an initiative by the Joint Students’ Body, Lamka as a tribute to all our Tribal Martyrs who are the victims of the state-sponsored ethnic cleansing.
One of the main reasons for organizing this event is to demand justice for our dead and for delivering the long overdue justice to the Zomi-Kuki-Hmar-Mizo people in light of our continual exploitation and subjugation under the Manipur State. All Zomi-Kuki-Hmar-Mizo families, men and women, young and old, took part in this event showcasing their respect for those who have sacrificed their lives, and their solidarity toward the struggle for justice.
The event started with a Silent March from Lamka District Hospital through Red Cross road, then through Tedim Road and finally to the ‘Wall of Remembrance’ opposite Tuibong Mini-Secretariat. After the march, a program was held at the ‘Wall of Remembrance’, attended by leading tribal bodies, CSOs, and individuals. All participants in this event were clad in black and a human chain was formed along the road by 10:30 am, and Village Defense Forces were lined up as informed for the gun salute. This event saw immense support and cooperation from the people of Lamka.

2023 ခုနှစ် မေလ 3 ရက်နေ့မှစတင်၍ ဖြစ်ပွားခဲ့သော နိုင်ငံတော်မှ ကမကထပြုသော လူမျိုးတုံး သုတ်သင်ရှင်းလင်းမှုကြောင့် လူမျိုးစု 108 ခု အသက်ဆုံးရှုံးခဲ့သည်။ လူမျိုးစုကျေးရွာပေါင်း 201 ရွာ နှင့် ဘုရားကျောင်း 355 ရပ်ကွက်တို့နှင့်အတူ မီးရှို့ခံခဲ့ရသည်။ ယနေ့အထိ မျိုးနွယ်စုပေါင်း 41,425 အိုးမဲ့အိမ်မဲ့ ဖြစ်ခဲ့ရသည်။ ဤအကောင့်တွင်၊ ယနေ့ ဇွန်လ 24 ရက်၊ 2023 ခုနှစ် Silent March-Cum-Condolence Program သည် နိုင်ငံတော်မှ ကမကထပြုထားသော လူမျိုးတုံးသတ်ဖြတ်မှု၏ သားကောင်များအားလုံးကို ဂုဏ်ပြုသည့်အနေဖြင့် ပူးပေါင်းကျောင်းသားများအဖွဲ့၊ Lamka မှ အစပြုပါသည်။
ဤပွဲကို ကျင်းပရခြင်း၏ အဓိကအကြောင်းရင်းတစ်ခုမှာ ကျွန်ုပ်တို့သေဆုံးသူများအတွက် တရားမျှတမှုကို တောင်းဆိုရန်နှင့် မဏိပူရပြည်နယ်အောက်တွင် ကျွန်ုပ်တို့၏ စဉ်ဆက်မပြတ် ဖိနှိပ်ချုပ်ချယ်ခံရမှုများကြောင့် ဇိုမီး-ကူကီး-မမာ-မီဇိုလူမျိုးများအား ကာလကြာရှည် တရားမျှတမှုကို ပေးဆောင်ရန်ဖြစ်သည်။ Zomi-Kuki-Hmar-Mizo မိသားစုများ၊ အမျိုးသား၊ အမျိုးသမီး၊ လူငယ်၊ လူကြီး၊ အသက်စတေးခဲ့ကြသူများအား ၎င်းတို့၏ လေးစားမှုနှင့် တရားမျှတမှုတိုက်ပွဲအတွက် စည်းလုံးညီညွတ်မှုတို့ကို ပြသသည့် ဤအခမ်းအနားတွင် Zomi-Kuki-Hmar-Mizo မိသားစုများအားလုံး ပါဝင်ခဲ့ကြသည်။
အဆိုပါပွဲကို Lamka ခရိုင်ဆေးရုံမှ ကြက်ခြေနီလမ်းမှတဆင့် တိတ်တဆိတ်ချီတက်ကာ တီးတိန်လမ်းကိုဖြတ်ကာ နောက်ဆုံးတွင် Tuibong Mini-Secretariat ဆန့်ကျင်ဘက် ‘အောက်မေ့ဖွယ်နံရံ’ သို့ စတင်ခဲ့သည်။ ချီတက်ပွဲအပြီးတွင် မျိုးနွယ်စုခေါင်းဆောင်များ၊ CSO များနှင့် လူပုဂ္ဂိုလ်များ တက်ရောက်ခဲ့ကြသည့် ‘အမှတ်တရ တံတိုင်း’ တွင် အစီအစဉ်တစ်ခုကို ကျင်းပခဲ့ပါသည်။ အဆိုပါ အခမ်းအနားတွင် ပါဝင်သူ အားလုံးကို အနက်ရောင် ၀တ်စုံဖြင့် ၀တ်ဆင်ထားပြီး နံနက် ၁၀ နာရီ ၃၀ မိနစ်တွင် လမ်းတလျှောက် လူသား သံကြိုးများ တပ်ဆင်ကာ သေနတ်ဖြင့် အလေးပြုရန်အတွက် ကျေးရွာ ကာကွယ်ရေး တပ်ဖွဲ့ဝင်များ တန်းစီထားကြောင်း သိရသည်။ ဤပွဲသည် Lamka ၏ ကြီးမားသော ပံ့ပိုးကူညီမှုနှင့် ပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်မှုကို မြင်တွေ့ခဲ့ရသည်။
