Discussions with Five Ethnic armed groups on holding a peace conference

The National Peace Dialogue Group and the five ethnic armed groups that signed the NCA met in Nay Pyi Taw on June 26 and discussed regional stability and the fight against drugs, including the issue of holding a peace conference, the NCA press release announced.

The meeting was attended by the leader of the state’s peace negotiation team, Lt. Gen. Hunan, and officials. The ethnic armed groups that have signed the NCA, such as the ALP, KNU/KNLA(PC); DKBA Officials from LDU and PNLO attended.

It is said that at the meeting, they also discussed the points to be amended from the 2008 Constitution and the implementation of agreements from the previous meetings.
It has been announced that the second day of talks will continue on June 27.
